This is for a vintage Midnight Meal Ticket card (measures 4" x 2 1/2"), and I suspect this is from the US Navy. Signed by James E. Nieman, C.W.O. (Chief Warrant Officer) and General Mess Officer. Card has some wear from handling and creasing, including edge wear and corner rounding. It has a well-handled feel to it. Reads: "Bearer of this meal ticket is authorized to eat one (1) midnight meal at General Mess the date of ticket issue. Meal tickes will be issued only to person on actual night duty the day of issue." Unfortunately, this bears no date, so I'm unsure on when this is from.
