This is for a brochure for Marineland of the Pacific, which was located on the Pacific Ocean between Redondo Beach and San Pedro, near Los Angeles. According to the Marineland of the Pacific Historical Society, this brochure was produced in 1957 and is the 4th issue brochure (so three different styles preceded it). This brochure includes the first photograph of Big Bertha, the 400 pound sea bass! It also has photos of Tommy Tucker the seal (who played Esmeralda in the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea), Zippy the porpoise, Humboldt penguins, a huge ocean sunfish, sharks and more! Also included in this lot are two Marineland postcards, both from the same era. Brochure measures 9" x 4" when folded and 16" x 9" when unfolded. It is nice and clean with minor dimpling and one tiny smudge mark. One of the two postcards has discoloration and creasing in the upper left corner (see close-up photo). Both have minor edge wear. No writing on the postcards.
